Iranian short flick ‘Katvoman’ is scheduled to be screened at the Palencia International Film Festival (MCIP) in Spain.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Katvoman’ will compete with 18 other films from 17 countries at the 32nd edition of the event.

The film, written and directed by Hadi Sheibani, is inspired by the fictional character of Catwoman.

“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The short received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.

The film was also awarded at the 58th edition of the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia in Tunisia.

The MCIP welcomes international films from around the world and provides filmmakers with a chance to showcase their works.

This year’s edition of the event is scheduled for February 24 – March 4.
